What Are Adobe Bricks?

Adobe bricks, also known as IBS (Interlock Brick System), are part of Interlocking Brick Sabah solutions. These bricks are produced using compressed clay and left to dry naturally. It is an environmentally friendly product as it does not require any burning of fossil fuels during production. In line with our commitment to sustainability, we also explore energy-efficient practices such as Solar Power System Sabah to further reduce environmental impact across our operations, including developments related to Palm Oil Plantation Sabah.

Our Brick Production

Our Brick Production machines consist of different types of system. From manual press to hydraulic press and automated pressing to produce the different types of adobe bricks. Soil is prepared and cleaned from impurities before mixing with cement and sand. Compressed bricks are dried on racks for approximately 1 month before undergoing compression testing on sample bricks. Bricks from batches which passed the compression test will be stacked ready for use.

Brick Types Produced

We are able to produce many different shapes of bricks from the different brick pressing machine at our factory. From pathway bricks to L shaped bricks, we can produce most of the different types of bricks for use in the construction industry.

Our IBS Projects

We have completed 3 housing projects from our brick factory. These were all R&D projects as we evaluate the pro's and con's of using adobe bricks in the construction industry.

Future Of IBS

The cost of producing adobe bricks is too costly compared to other bricks and hence we can only utilise it within our surrounding plantation. However, we hope that in the near future, adobe bricks or IBS (Interlocking bricks system) can gain more acceptance in the building and construction industry.
